BigWorldSmallPlanet maintains a steadfast focus on social responsibility specifically, in Nicaragua.  We, as a group, allocate monies to select community activism projects in areas of need; schools, libraries and local communities.  In general, many remote areas of the country are in dire need of the basic essentials of nutritious food, suitable shelter and basic education due to the poverty levels that exist here.  We encourage our guests on a completely voluntary basis, to get involved and learn about ways to contribute to causes and individuals of interest.  We firmly believe that there is no such thing as a “small” contribution.  Acts of kindness and compassion make a difference to all of us whether it be a friendly smile, an interest in getting to know one another or assistance in a community, medical or educational initiative.

We would be delighted to introduce and educate you on specific locations or projects during your stay in Nicaragua. In addition, we facilitate follow up and progress reports to any chosen causes of which you wish to receive information.  It is through this personal and professional philosophy that we have chosen to call ourselves BigWorldSmallPlanet.
